La Pitavola del Comapedrosa returns this weekend to Arinsal. Our multidisciplinary fair is in its second edition with more stops and an even wider program.
The market will have thirty-nine stands of artisans and local producers from the country but also from the Catalan and French Pyrenees. "The strong point of this market is its location, in the old case of the town of Arinsal", assures the Councilor for the Environment, Agriculture and Sustainability of the Commune of La Massana, Sergi Gueimonde.
We remember that Pitavola was born last year with the intention of becoming a fixed date to celebrate our anniversary. "The protagonist of La Pitavola is nature but also the inhabitants and producers of the territory, both in Andorra and in the neighboring areas of Catalonia and France, since the three territories make up the Three Nations Pyrenean Park", says Gueimonde .
After last year's good reception, this year we are increasing the offer, with around fifty proposals, ranging from guided outings, to workshops for children and adults or demonstrations of traditional crafts. There are several new features, such as the lighting of the market, which will make it possible to extend the opening hours on Friday and Saturday until 10 p.m. We have also created a new space, El Niu, next to the Percanela road, with craft beer stands and traditional music and chill out concerts.
One of the star activities of the last edition was the tapa route. This year it will be held on both Saturday and Sunday and participants will be able to vote for the best tapas. In addition, several prizes will be drawn among all the tickets, including a season pass. Councilor Gueimonde thanked the involvement of the fifteen establishments that participate in the Ruta de la Tapa and also the eleven restaurants that offer special menus to commemorate the anniversary.
La Pitavola will open its doors on Friday at 6 p.m. A very special moment will be the lighting of the market, at 9 p.m.
Also during the opening day, the round table will be held prior to the Days for Excellence in Esterri d'Àneu, thanks to the collaboration of the Government of Andorra with these Pyrenean days, which will revolve around health mental The Director of Bilateral Affairs of the Government of Andorra, Andreu Jordi, has remarked on the importance of dealing with mental health since "this issue still carries many prejudices and stigmas". The round table will include the Head of Mental Health of the SASS, Carles Mur, the Deputy Director General of the Regional Health Agency of Occitanie, Sophie Albert, and the technical officer of Mental Health of the WHO-Regional Office Europe . The Conference's president, Jesús Montoliu, will close the conference. The session, which will take place at 7 pm in Les Fontetes, will be moderated by journalist Josep Puigbó.
